Briscoe fired as Judge
Disgraced
barrister Constance Briscoe who was jailed for lying to police over the Chris
Huhne speeding points scandal has been sacked as a part-time judge.
Brisco,
57, is serving a 16-month sentence after her conviction for intending to
pervert the course of justice over the investigation into the former Cabinet
minister.
A
statement issued by the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said recorder
and fee-paid tribunal judge Constance Briscoe ‘has been removed from judicial
office without further investigation’ by the lord chancellor and the lord chief
justice.
